Financial dashboards and KPIs built around 4 questions

A useful dashboard isn't the one with the most charts. It's the one that tells you, in a minute, how the business is doing, what's changing, where the problem is and what you need to decide. We build financial and operating dashboards with your branding, fed by your real data, with every number explained.

The problem it solves

Most businesses have data but no answers. Sales live in one system, expenses in another, payroll in a spreadsheet and the bank balance in the bank's app. To know whether the month was good, someone has to pull it all together by hand — and by the time the report arrives, it's too late to course-correct.

Many dashboards sold as the fix make it worse: dozens of charts with no context, numbers with no comparison, metrics nobody knows how to calculate. The owner opens it once, can't tell what it's saying and goes back to asking for the Excel report.

A dashboard you can trust needs three things: complete data (and a clear warning when something is missing), explicit formulas and a layout designed for decisions, not decoration.

What's included

  • P&L by month, location, business line or service type, in the right order: revenue, direct costs, gross profit, operating expenses, EBITDA and net income.
  • Cash flow: real inflows and outflows, separating operating expenses from capital spending, inventory purchases and owner draws.
  • Accounts receivable: aging, past-due clients and expected collections.
  • Goals: the targets you set versus what's actually happening — no made-up industry benchmarks.
  • Multi-currency handling: USD and DOP kept separate, or converted at a dated, visible rate.
  • Data completeness indicator: which sources are loaded each month and which are missing or estimated.
  • Your branding: your colors, logo and the language your business uses.

How we work

The 4 questions

  1. How are we doing? Headline KPIs for the period, each compared with the prior period or your goal.
  2. What's happening? The trend: what's up, what's down and since when.
  3. Where's the problem? The breakdown by location, service, client or channel that explains the change.
  4. What do I need to decide? Alerts and open items that need your action.

We start with a demo using your branding and sample data, so you can see it before anything gets connected. Then we connect your real sources and check that dashboard totals tie out to your records. Every KPI has its formula written in plain language.

Deliverables

  • A branded web dashboard that works on desktop and phone.
  • Connections to your data sources with automatic refresh.
  • A KPI dictionary with each formula.
  • Invitation-only access with role-based permissions.
  • Periodic reviews to adjust KPIs as your decisions evolve.

Who it's for

  • Owners who wait days to find out how the month closed.
  • Businesses with multiple locations, providers, service lines or currencies.
  • Finance managers who need to present reliable numbers to partners or lenders.
  • Companies that already have a dashboard nobody uses.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does the dashboard data come from?

From the systems you already use: accounting, invoicing, POS, bank, payroll or spreadsheets. We connect them and document what comes from where.

What if data is missing for a month?

The dashboard says so. We show which sources are missing and flag incomplete months instead of showing a number that looks right but isn't.

Can you use my own targets?

Yes. You set the targets and they're stored on record. We don't use industry benchmarks we can't back up.

Who can see the dashboard?

Only people you invite, each with access matching their role. A location manager, for example, can see only their location.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. We design for the phone first, because that's where most owners check their numbers.
